In US History class, 8th grade students dipped their toes into the three branches of government - Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.
As legislators, they proposed bills, gained support, took their bills to the legislative floor for to be approved, and then sent the bill on to the Executive Branch for the President to sign it into law. They also took on the role of the Judicial Branch to judge if the law was constitutional. It turns out, passing a law is not as easy as one might think!

We are able to reopen our numbers for a limited time. In the past, this form was filled out for free and reduced lunches. Even if you don't qualify, and even though lunches are currently free for all students, this form is still very IMPORTANT to funding we receive as a district.

Our third graders created their own version of the Northern Lights today in Art Class using tissue paper and water — and the results were beautiful!

Ms. Little’s DK class kicked off their Monday morning with some calendar time! Students figured out what day of the week it is, what tomorrow will be, and what yesterday was. They also checked in on the weather outside and reviewed their classroom rules. A great start to a great week!

Brandywine’s Strive 4 a Safer Drive (S4SD) students traveled to Granger Community Church (GCC) to donate their 2nd place prize money of $750 that they earned from last year’s Strive 4 A Safer Drive campaign to Lead Pastor, Dr. Ted Bryant.
S4SD students wanted to give back to GCC’s annual Food Drop to help support those in need within the Michiana area.

The Brandywine Transportation Department will be doing a Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive on December 6 at Martin's Supermarkets. They will be accepting food donations to be delivered to the Salvation Army. In addition, they will be placing boxes at each school building to collect donations through December 5 to help them reach their goal.

They spent the day learning about sportsmanship from a variety of perspectives — including athletes, coaches, and student sections. Our students came away with new ideas and inspiration to bring back to Brandywine!
