Mrs. Murray's 7th grade science class is testing chemical reactions!
Today, each group did a lab mixing different ingredients together and measuring the temperature change. One group mixed vinegar and baking soda, another group mixed root killer, saltwater, and aluminum foil. At the end, they'll compare their results. The goal of the experiment is to see what reaction heats up the fastest in order to heat food in an emergency.

Mrs. Paul's 8th grade Social Studies class combined history and modern technology during their study of George Washington's presidency! During his presidency, Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson and Secretary of Treasury Alexander Hamilton didn't see eye to eye on some key issues. These disagreements led to the birth of political parties.
Students were tasked with creating a text message chain of what some of the disagreements might have looked like.

Forgiveness means letting go of hurt feelings or anger when someone makes a mistake or does something wrong. It’s about understanding that everyone makes mistakes and choosing to move past them with kindness.

On Friday night, we honored the 2000, 2010, and 2016 Final Four Girls Basketball teams. It was so wonderful to have Bobcat alumni in the house to celebrate their accomplishments and honor the legacy of great Bobcat basketball!
Each member of the team was also gifted a piece of the old gym floor that was replaced last year. Mr. Knapp's class took the pieces of wood and cut them into smaller pieces with the Final Four year engraved.
It was an awesome night at the Bobcat Den, and both boys and girls teams beat the Buchanan Bucks!
