Students in Mrs. High's preschool class had a fun day yesterday! They have been learning about the anatomy of a plant - from stem, to bud, to leaves - and were able to put their new knowledge into action! While it was raining outside, they started their root garden, planting seeds of radishes, chives, and carrots. Once the weather cleared in the afternoon, they spent some time outside planting flowers!

We are hiring! We have new positions open. Check out the opportunities at:

Third grade students in Ms. Page's art classes are starting a unit on creating "Zentangles."
"The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles and you create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs." (Zentangle.com)
Students were focused on their designs and filling in all of the space on their small square.

Our DK students learned about the different seasons and spent some time finger painting what a tree looks like in each stage!

🐾Character Trait of the Week: GRATITUDE🐾
Gratitude means being thankful for the good things in their lives and showing appreciation to others. It’s about recognizing kindness, expressing thanks, and focusing on what you have rather than what you lack.

Seniors picked up their caps and gowns today! Only 26 days left of their high school careers.

Welcome to Adulthood, Seniors!
Today, our Seniors are Funding Their Futures. United Federal Credit Union brought their Financial Reality Fair to Brandywine. Students were given a pretend job, with a pretend salary, and had to plan their budget based on what they had available. Budget line items included: leisure activities, lifestyle, transportation, housing, and more. At the end, if a student's budget was in the negative, they had to go back around and figure out where they went wrong and fix it. (Wouldn't that be nice if we could do that in real life!?)
Special thanks to United Federal Credit Union for helping our students learn how to create a budget!
