Seniors in Mrs. Starr’s Paychecks to Profits classes spent last week planning for their futures as part of College and Career Month.

They learned about the FAFSA and its importance—even for students not planning to attend college—and discovered scholarships available for those entering the workforce, technical programs, and apprenticeships. Students also received folders and checklists to help them stay organized and on track.

On the November 4 ballot, Brandywine Community Schools will have a Sinking Fund Renewal.

What is a Sinking Fund? A sinking fund for school is a dedicated savings account funded by a voter-approved local property tax (millage) that allows school districts to pay for large capital expenditures like construction, major repairs, technology upgrades, and security improvements.

The levied taxes cannot be used for general operating expenses.

Don't forget to vote, whether you have your absentee ballot, or will be voting in person November 4!

It's National School Lunch Week! National School Lunch Week is a celebration of the federal National School Lunch Program, which provides nearly 30 million children a nutritious meal each school day. The theme this year is "Taste the World – Your School Lunch Passport." Today's theme was America, so a classic cheeseburger was in order!

We are excited to be able to offer free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. But, in order to receive our full funding, families must fill out the Education Benefits Form! If you haven't already, you can find the form here: https://brandywine.familyportal.cloud/
