Seniors in Mrs. Starr’s Paychecks to Profits classes spent last week planning for their futures as part of College and Career Month.
They learned about the FAFSA and its importance—even for students not planning to attend college—and discovered scholarships available for those entering the workforce, technical programs, and apprenticeships. Students also received folders and checklists to help them stay organized and on track.

Reminder: Fall Break is October 17-20. October 17 is a HALF DAY for all students and there will be no school on October 20.

Tomorrow is the Berrien RESA playgroup at Merritt Elementary for kids 0-5.

Students in second grade celebrated the end of their second CKLA unit last week on Ancient Asian Civilizations! Students rotated through the classrooms, trying their hand at using chopsticks, creating artwork, and making paper crafts.







It's National School Lunch Week! National School Lunch Week is a celebration of the federal National School Lunch Program, which provides nearly 30 million children a nutritious meal each school day. The theme this year is "Taste the World – Your School Lunch Passport." Today's theme was America, so a classic cheeseburger was in order!

Copper the Therapy Dog visited the Bobcat Nation class last week!
The class is currently learning about community service and how to pinpoint needs. Copper's handler and Assistant Superintendent, Ms. Lezotte, talked about how Copper was fulfilling a need in the school community. He sure is a sweet pup!

Tackle Cancer on October 25 at Brandywine! The football team and student council have joined forces to fight against cancer. At the last home game of the season on October 25 at 1 p.m., donations of money and change will be collected by student council and given to a local cancer fighting organization! Find all your extra change!

At the Regional Tennis Tournament yesterday, Malachi Gamble won the Regional Championship in 4 Singles. Kyler Marshall was Regional Runner-Up in 3 Singles, and the 2 Doubles team of Hudson Aalfs and Bryce Hood were named Regional Runner-Up. Congratulations to the Boys Tennis team on a great season!



Mrs. Brooks' class is propagating moss in STEM class! They will later use the moss to build their own terrariums!
