Teamwork makes the dream work (and the eggs hop!)

Big thanks to our National Honor Society members for teaming up with the Niles Service League to get things ready for the town’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Thousands of eggs are officially stuffed and ready to be hidden!

We’re so proud of our NHS students for giving back to the community that gives us so much.

On March 2, Merritt Elementary proudly celebrated the 6th Annual National Social Emotional Learning Day!

To mark the occasion, students and staff decorated individual music notes to create a school-wide banner titled "Music is What Feelings Sound Like." This collaborative project served as a powerful reminder that every person's feelings are valid, and it is the harmony of these diverse emotions that truly builds our community.

It's a new episode of Cat Chat!

Today, we’re turning our attention to a group of staff members who play an essential role in the daily rhythm of our schools, our transportation team.

In today’s episode, we’re talking with members of our transportation department about what a typical day looks like, the work that happens behind the scenes that many people never see, and the relationships they build with students along the way.  Listen here: https://sites.libsyn.com/497938/season-3-episode-12-a-ride-with-our-bus-drivers

Mrs. Knapp's class celebrated St. Patrick's Day in style last week!

Mr. Severin read them "Leprechaun on the Loose" in the morning. When they returned from specials that afternoon, a sneaky leprechaun had made a huge mess of their classroom and escaped their creative leprechaun traps. He did, however, leave the students some Lucky Charms.
