On March 2, Merritt Elementary proudly celebrated the 6th Annual National Social Emotional Learning Day!
To mark the occasion, students and staff decorated individual music notes to create a school-wide banner titled "Music is What Feelings Sound Like." This collaborative project served as a powerful reminder that every person's feelings are valid, and it is the harmony of these diverse emotions that truly builds our community.

Mrs. Knapp's class celebrated St. Patrick's Day in style last week!
Mr. Severin read them "Leprechaun on the Loose" in the morning. When they returned from specials that afternoon, a sneaky leprechaun had made a huge mess of their classroom and escaped their creative leprechaun traps. He did, however, leave the students some Lucky Charms.

Kindergarten was transformed into a kingdom recently as our kindergarteners explored the world of Kings and Queens!
Our little monarchs discovered that kings and queens are born into special royal families, their role is to rule the kingdom and look after their people, and that there are still some kings and queens in other countries today.
