
Field Day rocks!
Field Day is happening at Merritt Elementary today and the kiddos are having a TON of fun running around and playing games with their friends.




It's a perfect day for a drive-in movie in Ms. Ramos' Kindergarten class!


Yesterday was "S" for Superhero or Super Villian Day at Merritt Elementary!




Our April and May Supercats were celebrated today! Way to go, Bobcats!



Second graders had a chance to share their knowledge in Jeopardy this morning!



Yesterday was "P" is for Picnic at Merritt Elementary, but it was a little rainy. Mrs. High's class compromised and had an alternate picnic inside!



Kindergarteners had a "Maker's Day" with the help of Berrien RESA today! Students used "Straw-bees" to create letters.





MedFlight came to visit our students at Merritt Elementary this morning during Career Day! They'll be making the "flight" over the Brandywine Elementary later today!

Second grade classes spent the last month raising up baby chicks. On Friday, the chicks went to their new home at Blooming Bus Farms! 🐣🐥

A few butterflies from Mrs. High's preschool class were flying around outside yesterday! The students have some chrysalises in their classroom as part of their insect unit. They will be Painted Lady butterflies when they break out!


Here are the students that were the first to try out the new book vending machine from Partnership for Children at Merritt Elementary. They were the "lucky number" of the day and each picked out their favorite book from the choices available.
Merritt is going to be using the book vending machine as a PBIS reward where students can earn a special token and select a book to take home. Thank you to Partnership for Children for this awesome addition to our elementary buildings!



Students at Merritt celebrated finishing the CKLA unit on colonial times.They became tradespeople masons, weavers, carpenters, miners, and more. They also tried some fresh baked sour dough bread with mixed reviews.
