Mrs. Starr's middle school computer class picked one of their teachers to interview and then designed a magazine cover about them!

Thank you to Neo Trailers and MTec Manufacturing, LLC for donating sheets of plywood to our CTE department! Our students have been busy creating projects in CAD and wood shop with the materials.

Congratulations to our Brandywine MSHS Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Roeder!
Position: Grades 10-12 Guidance Counselor
Years at Brandywine: 22
Favorite thing about working at Brandywine..."My favorite thing about Brandywine is the people. I love the sense of community we have here."
Staff member Mrs. Swem says..."Mrs. Roeder consistently goes above and beyond for all of her coworkers with her great attention to detail, well thought out ideas and her constant calm approach to finding solutions. I have never met someone with such a positive attitude and willingness to help others at any moment of the day. Angie juggles so many projects at the same time and with constant interruptions, it's amazing how she gets so much done. I feel privileged to work with her and learn from her everyday. Not only is she a great coworker, she is a caring counselor, a great mentor and a wonderful role model for young women. Mrs. Roeder - great attitude, great sense of humor -- just a great person."
Congratulations and thanks for all you do, Mrs. Roeder

Today Mr. Kennedy's Senior English class participated in a budget simulation project sponsored by the Michigan Credit Union Foundation and locally by United Credit Union!
Each student was given a job and a salary. Some jobs came with student loans, some didn't. Some students were surprised with a surprise income like a tax refund and some with a surprise expense like a car repair. Students traveled to nine stations where they had to budget for monthly expenses like a pet, internet access, food, and housing. Students then had to figure out their income and expenses. If they ended up in the red, they had to go back. If they were in the black, they were finished. They learned that sometimes what seems to be good isn’t always the best and sacrifices have to be made. Thank you to United Credit Union for bringing this in!
