Fourth graders had special visitors on Thursday as part of the Football Buddies program! Football players came over and played football with the kids during recess and then signed autographs for their adoring fans until their hands hurt!

It's Field Day at Brandywine Elementary!




Last week, fourth graders had a Maker's Day thanks to Berrien RESA. They collaborated with partners to program Dash Robots to complete a series of tasks.


Fifth Grade Camp fun!



The Brandywine tradition of Fifth Grade Camp starts tomorrow! What was your favorite Fifth Grade Camp Activity? What cabin were you in?

Third grade has been studying Ecology and taking care of the planet. Mrs. Alstott's class decided to ask the school to stop using plastic straws. The students went to all the classrooms and explained how plastic straws are not biodegradable. They discussed how even as third graders, they can make a difference!

Career Day at Brandywine Elementary this afternoon!




The fourth grade salmon are in their new home! On Thursday evening, the fourth grade teachers, students, and families released 100 Chinook salmon into the Dowagiac River. Salmon in the classroom was a success!

Today is the last day of school for the fourth grade salmon at Brandywine Elementary! They will be released into the Dowagiac River tonight.

The media center at Brandywine Elementary has transformed into a "campground." Mrs. Germann, Media Center Secretary, has decorated the library and is providing fun activities for the students throughout the month of May! Today, students gathered in groups to play different games.



Brandywine Elementary had their book vending machine ribbon cutting on Friday! Three students from each grade were called down to be the first students to receive books for positive choices. Brandywine Elementary will be utilizing the book vending machine for a positive reward through their new PBIS program they will be implementing next school year.

The Berrien County Elementary Science Olympiad was on April 11. The 2025 Science Olympiad team includes 24 students who were selected by their classroom teachers. Students chosen are in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Students who consistently exhibit responsibility, curiosity, and kindness make excellent candidates for the team.
