On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Brandywine Community Schools will have a proposal on the ballot for a renewal of its Sinking Fund. A Sinking Fund is used to fund construction, renovations, and repairs throughout the district.
The renewal will be for ten years for a rate of 1 mill. This will not be a new tax, though due to the Headlee rollback, less than a full mill (.9913) was levied on properties in 2024, so property owners may see a very slight increase. This millage will provide estimated revenues of $424,000 during the 2026 school year if approved and levied.

Sixth grade science students got to enjoy Imploding Pop Cans last Friday. While practicing laboratory skills, such as writing observations, documenting materials needed, and practicing lab safety procedures, they investigated pressure changes by heating up the pop can and then plummeting it into ice cold water.
