Brandywine Board of Education Honored

The month of January marks the annual observance of School Board Recognition Month—a time
to salute the work of school board members and celebrate public education. In Brandywine,
school board members must develop policies and make tough decisions on complex educational
and social issues impacting the entire community. They bear responsibility for budgets that
impact students and employees. They are citizens whose decisions affect our children—what
they learn, who will teach them, and what kinds of facilities house their classrooms.
The community is cordially invited to a reception in honor of the Brandywine School Board
Members, in observance of School Board Recognition Month. The reception will be held on
Monday, January 22, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., just prior to the beginning of the regularly scheduled
board meeting, in the Brandywine Middle/Senior High School Media Center, 1700 Bell Road,
Niles. Members of the Board are (front row left to right) Jason Spitler, Secretary; Janis Exner,
President; Dennis Hinsey, Vice President; Jerry Tibbs, Treasurer; (back row left to right) Ralph
Skinner, Trustee; Holly Pomranka, Trustee; Brian Burge, Trustee
